This well-established organisation specialises in the design, installation, operation and maintenance of large-scale diesel and gas power generation systems supporting mining and resource projects across Australia.<\/p>\n<p>This is a full-time opportunity suited to a skilled mechanic with strong diagnostic ability and experience working with heavy diesel engines, ideally Cummins. The role offers a 50\/50 split between workshop and field service work, maintaining and repairing diesel generator equipment while supporting client sites when required.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>What you\u2019ll be doing:<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Perform scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance on Cummins diesel generators<\/li>\n<li>Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults across heavy-duty generator equipment<\/li>\n<li>Carry out repairs, overhauls and component replacements on diesel engines<\/li>\n<li>Conduct troubleshooting and fault finding to minimise equipment downtime<\/li>\n<li>Perform inspections and testing to ensure optimal generator performance<\/li>\n<li>Complete maintenance and repair work both in the workshop and on client sites<\/li>\n<li>Interpret service manuals, schematics and technical documentation<\/li>\n<li>Maintain accurate service reports and maintenance records<\/li>\n<li>Ensure compliance with workplace health, safety and environmental procedures<\/li>\n<li>Communicate effectively with supervisors and technical team members<\/li>\n<li>Maintain tools, equipment and workshop cleanliness<\/li>\n<li>Assist with generator installation, commissioning or major servicing when required<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><em>What you\u2019ll need:<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Trade qualification in Heavy Diesel Mechanics or related field<\/li>\n<li>Minimum 5 years post-trade experience in heavy diesel maintenance<\/li>\n<li>Strong experience working with diesel engines, ideally Cummins<\/li>\n<li>Experience in power generation, mining, construction or heavy equipment environments<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrated ability to diagnose and repair mechanical faults independently<\/li>\n<li>Strong commitment to workplace safety<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work independently and within a team environment<\/li>\n<li>Strong problem-solving and analytical skills<\/li>\n<li>Reliable with strong communication skills<\/li>\n<li>Adaptable and capable of working in workshop and field service environments<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><em>What\u2019s in it for you:<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Full-time, stable employment<\/li>\n<li>Supportive and rewarding team environment<\/li>\n<li>Varied work with a 50\/50 split between workshop and site work<\/li>\n<li>Good hours and the opportunity to work on specialised power generation equipment<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><em>How to apply:<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>To complete your application for this position please click on the &quot;APPLY&quot; button.
