About the Role
Our client is seeking a reliable and hardworking Production Operative to join their team in the Adelaide Hills area. This is a permanent position suited to someone with packing experience who can work safely, follow procedures and help keep production running smoothly.
The role involves mixing, packing and handling products, maintaining a clean work area and ensuring all tasks are completed to the required safety and quality standards.
What you’ll be doing:
- Carrying out mixing and packing duties as required
- Operating packing equipment, including weighing, sewing, sealing and palletising products
- Ensuring products are packed correctly and meet quality standards
- Completing equipment pre-start checks and reporting any issues
- Keeping the packing area, equipment and floors clean and tidy
- Storing received goods in the correct areas
- Identifying and reporting any safety or product quality concerns
- Labelling and moving non-compliant products to the quarantine area
- Assisting with mill start-up, shutdown and maintenance when required
- Completing production reports and meeting set performance targets
- Supporting other team members to keep production running efficiently
What you’ll need:
- Current forklift licence
- Previous packing experience
- A strong commitment to workplace health and safety
- Good attention to detail and a focus on product quality
- Ability to follow instructions and workplace procedures
- Ability to work well in a team and support other areas when needed
- A reliable and flexible approach to work
