Workshop Maintenance Supervisor

Our client is seeking an experienced and skilled Workshop Maintenance Supervisor to join their busy operations based in Redcliffe. This is a permanent, full-time role for someone with strong leadership experience in heavy plant maintenance who is ready to oversee workshop operations and lead a team of fitters, technicians, and apprentices. 

What you’ll be doing:

  • Leading and supervising workshop staff including HD fitters, trade assistants, and apprentices
  • Coordinating daily workflow, job scheduling, and overall workshop operations
  • Overseeing off-hire inspections and repairs for returning machinery
  • Managing planned servicing, preventative maintenance, and component changes
  • Supervising the assembly and fit-out of new machines including attachments, hydraulics, and safety gear
  • Engaging and managing external contractors such as auto-electrics, hydraulics, and NDT specialists
  • Ensuring workshop safety, compliance, housekeeping, and OEM-spec standards
  • Supporting continuous improvement of maintenance processes and workshop efficiency

What you’ll need:

  • Trade-qualified Heavy Diesel Mechanic, Plant Fitter, or similar
  • HR licence (advantageous but not essential)
  • 5+ years’ experience as a Leading Hand, Foreman, or Workshop Supervisor
  • Confident communicator with strong leadership and team management skills
  • Organised and able to manage multiple jobs at once
  • High focus on quality, safety, and compliance
  • Strong background in maintenance of heavy plant including excavators, loaders, dozers, dump trucks, graders, and water carts
  • Proficient in Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Full working rights in Australia
