Our client is seeking a highly capable and proactive Finance Business Partner to join their team on a 6-month contract based in Nedlands. This role is perfect for someone with strong management accounting experience who enjoys providing strategic financial advice and working closely with stakeholders to drive business outcomes.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Partnering with stakeholders to provide financial advice, modelling, and insights that support strategic decision-making
  • Assisting in the development of funding applications and ensuring compliance with financial obligations
  • Preparing high-value reports and analyses tailored to stakeholder needs
  • Managing budgets, monitoring financial performance, and providing recommendations to resolve financial issues
  • Supporting audits, financial statements, and compliance with accounting standards and GST requirements
  • Providing guidance on funding agreements and ensuring reporting requirements are met
  • Mentoring and upskilling stakeholders in best practice financial management
  • Contributing to business planning, forecasting, and strategic initiatives
  • Collaborating with the finance team to ensure high levels of service, communication, and continuous improvement

What you’ll need:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Commerce or Business
  • Membership, or working towards membership, with Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand, CPA Australia, or the Institute of Public Accountants
  • At least 3 years’ experience in a management accounting or similar role
  • Strong knowledge of business management and accounting principles to support planning and resource allocation
  • Experience providing strategic financial advice and using logic to solve complex problems
  • Excellent customer service, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills and experience building long-term working relationships
  • High-level communication skills, including written and verbal communication to executive levels
  • Intermediate MS Excel skills
