Our client is seeking an energetic, target-driven and customer-focused Private Label Consultant to identify new business opportunities, grow existing customer relationships and drive sales through the introduction and promotion of private-label products.
The ideal candidate will have a strong food industry or culinary background, with Chef experience being a significant advantage. The successful candidate must be confident conducting product demonstrations and cook-offs, engaging with chefs and customers, and adding value to menus through product knowledge and practical culinary expertise.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Matric / Grade 12.
  • A tertiary qualification in Sales will be advantageous.
  • Valid Code EB driver’s licence.
  • At least 3 years’ Chef experience within a hospitality environment.
  • Experience within the food industry or a similar environment will be highly advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of private-label strategy.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency.
  • Own reliable and trustworthy vehicle, which must be available for work-related use.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Identify new business opportunities to grow and expand the market.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing customers.
  • Increase sales with current customers by introducing new products and growing the overall product basket.
  • Promote private-label products and support the implementation of private-label strategies.
  • Conduct product demonstrations, cook-offs and presentations where required.
  • Provide chefs and customers with product knowledge, menu ideas and practical value.
  • Contribute positively towards achieving individual and team sales targets.
  • Act as a professional ambassador for the business when dealing with customers.
  • Participate in projects and initiatives aimed at generating additional revenue.
  • Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate products and solutions.
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams to support customer satisfaction and sales growth.
  • Maintain a professional and customer-focused approach at all times.

VEHICLE REQUIREMENT

A reliable and trustworthy vehicle is essential, and the successful candidate must be willing to use their own vehicle for work purposes.
