Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 / Matric (NQF 4).
- Trade Tested Electrician or Millwright (NQF 5).
- Up to 3 years’ electrical maintenance experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Experience in fault-finding, repairs, and preventative maintenance of production equipment.
- Basic computer literacy (MS Office and maintenance management systems).
Technical Knowledge
- Electrical maintenance principles and practices.
- Manufacturing and production equipment maintenance.
- Preventative, predictive, and reactive maintenance methodologies.
- Root cause analysis and troubleshooting techniques.
- Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality requirements.
- Maintenance reporting and job card systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform electrical fault-finding, repairs, and troubleshooting on production equipment.
- Conduct preventative, predictive, and reactive maintenance.
- Carry out routine inspections to identify and prevent equipment failures.
- Support production by resolving electrical and maintenance-related issues.
- Complete maintenance reports and job cards accurately.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
- Assist with the training of apprentices when required.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, quality, and company standards.
- Maintain high housekeeping standards and safe work practices.
- Support cost-effective maintenance and efficient use of resources.
