Position Overview
A permanent opportunity is available for an experienced Excavator Operator with proven expertise in operating machinery fitted with a claw/grab attachment. The successful candidate will be responsible for safe, efficient, and precise handling of bulk materials within a high-demand industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate an excavator equipped with a claw/grab attachment safely and efficiently.
- Load, unload, move, and sort heavy bulk materials as required.
- Perform material handling and site operational support duties.
- Conduct daily equipment inspections and report any defects or maintenance requirements.
- Ensure strict adherence to all safety regulations and site procedures.
- Maintain productivity while ensuring precision and care in all machine movements.
- Assist with general site operations when required.
- Maintain cleanliness and basic care of assigned equipment.
Minimum Requirements
- Minimum 10+ years proven experience operating excavators, specifically with claw/grab attachments.
- Extensive experience in a heavy industrial, manufacturing, recycling, or materials handling environment.
- Valid excavator operating certification/license (where applicable).
- Strong understanding of heavy machinery safety protocols.
- Physically fit, alert, and capable of working in demanding conditions.
- Ability to work shifts, overtime, and weekends if required.
- Reliable transport.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
