Our client is seeking a dynamic, results-driven External Sales Consultant to join their growing team based in Port Elizabeth. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing new business opportunities, maintaining strong client relationships, and driving sales growth within the hospitality sector. This role is ideal for an energetic sales professional who thrives in a customer-facing environment and is passionate about delivering exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities through proactive prospecting.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with new and existing clients.
  • Conduct regular client visits and presentations to promote products and services.
  • Prepare quotations, negotiate pricing, and close sales.
  • Achieve and exceed monthly sales targets.
  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies within the allocated territory.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer requirements.
  • Ensure excellent after-sales service and customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and sales activities.
  • Submit weekly sales reports and forecasts to management.
  • Represent the company professionally at all times.

Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 (Matric).
  • Minimum of 3 years’ proven external sales experience.
  • Sales and Marketing Diploma or relevant tertiary qualification (advantageous).
  • Previous experience within the hospitality industry is highly advantageous.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
  • Good planning, organisational, and time management skills.
  • Computer literate (Microsoft Office Suite).
  • Valid Code B driver’s licence.
  • Own reliable vehicle is essential.
  • Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned sales territory.
