L3 Cyber Security Engineer

Requirements

• Minimum 5+ years’ experience in Cyber Security, Security Operations, or a similar role
• Strong knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, standards, and best practices
• Experience with SIEM, EDR/XDR, SOAR, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and vulnerability management tools
• Proven experience in incident response, threat hunting, and security investigations
• Knowledge of cloud security across Microsoft Azure, AWS, and Microsoft 365
• Understanding of compliance frameworks such as POPIA, ISO 27001, NIST, CIS Controls, and GDPR
• Relevant cybersecurity certifications advantageous (CISSP, CEH, CompTIA Security+, Microsoft Security, or similar)
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor, detect, investigate, and respond to security incidents
• Perform threat hunting and vulnerability assessments
• Manage and optimize security tools and technologies
• Implement and maintain security controls across cloud and on-premise environments
• Conduct security risk assessments and recommend remediation actions
• Ensure compliance with cybersecurity standards and regulatory requirements
• Provide technical guidance and support to internal teams and clients
