Cargo Handler

Minimum Requirements

• National Senior Certificate (Matric / NQF Level 4)
• Valid Driver’s Licence with PDP
• Forklift driving experience will be advantageous
• Previous warehouse or cargo handling experience will be advantageous
• Physically fit and able to perform manual handling duties
• Willingness to work extended hours, shifts, weekends, and public holidays when required
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced warehouse environment
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, handle, load, and offload inbound and outbound cargo.
• Ensure all cargo is handled in accordance with company procedures and safety standards.
• Scan and track cargo accurately using the required systems and equipment.
• Verify cargo quantities and documentation before loading and dispatch.
• Assist with sorting, staging, and storage of cargo within the warehouse.
• Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
• Conduct daily equipment inspections and report any defects or maintenance requirements.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and secure working environment.
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies.
• Assist with stock control and inventory management when required
• Provide excellent customer service to both internal and external stakeholders.
