Spray Painter – Cato Ridge

Minimum Requirements

• Matric / Grade 12
• 1–3 years’ experience as a Spray Painter in a manufacturing, industrial or engineering environment
• Ability to work shift hours when required
• Willingness to assist during plant shutdowns and after-hours installations
• Physically fit and able to lift and manoeuvre heavy materials and equipment
• Comfortable working in confined spaces and at heights
• Good attention to detail and ability to work accurately
• Strong understanding of safety procedures and project requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding and priming to ensure proper coating adhesion
• Apply paints, primers and protective coatings using spray, brush and roller techniques
• Ensure all coating work is completed according to specifications and quality standards
• Inspect completed work and identify any defects or areas requiring touch-ups
• Maintain paint equipment, tools and materials in good working condition
• Manage paint supplies and report shortages when necessary
• Keep accurate records of work completed, surface conditions and any issues encountered
• Provide support to the Projects team and perform related duties as required
