About the Role
Our client based in Randburg/Kyasand is looking for a Blender Operator to manage industrial mixing equipment to combine raw materials according to strict formulas and safety protocols.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Matric certificate / Grade 12.
- Experience operating industrial blending or mixing equipment in a manufacturing, food production, or chemical processing environment.
- Basic math, reading, and writing skills to interpret mix sheets and record data.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, bend, kneel, and lift heavy items as required by the role.
- Strong adherence to safety regulations, personal protective equipment (PPE) guidelines, and hazardous material handling rules
Key Responsibilities:
- Measure, verify, and load raw materials (checking weights, batch numbers, and expiration dates).
- Monitor machine operations, set temperatures, and adjust controls for correct product consistency.
- Take samples and deliver them to the lab or quality control (QC) for approval.
- Complete labels, mix sheets, and production logs accurately.
- Perform routine equipment cleaning, sanitation, and basic mechanical troubleshooting.
- Unload tanker trucks, railcars, or move heavy drums (up to 50 lbs / 22 kg) as required.
