Facilities Manager – Ammonia Refrigeration

Are you a hands-on Facilities Manager who knows that keeping a major operation running smoothly takes far more than fixing a broken light?Our logistics client is looking for an experienced Facilities Manager to take ownership of a large, technically demanding facility in Cape Town, where uptime, compliance, safety, sustainability and cost control are all critical.This is a role for someone who can move comfortably between strategic planning, technical facilities management, contractors, suppliers, budgets, compliance and day-to-day problem solving — and who enjoys being the person everyone calls when something needs to get done.

Key Requirements:

  • A relevant Facilities Management qualification – SAFMA / UCT / A4FM / CFM
  • Senior Certificate plus a Bachelor’s degree
  • SAQCC Category A Ammonia Refrigeration qualification
  • Ammonia Refrigeration Diploma
  • Knowledge of Project Management
  • Strong understanding of maintenance, asset life cycles and budgeting
  • Knowledge of compliance and Occupational Health & Safety
  • Financial Management / Space Planning / Building Maintenance experience
  • SAQCC Category B Ammonia Refrigeration registration is advantageous.

Key Responsibilities:
This is a role for someone who can move comfortably between strategic planning, technical facilities management, contractors, suppliers, budgets, compliance and day-to-day problem solving — and who enjoys being the person everyone calls when something needs to get done.
You’ll take the lead across the full facilities function, including Ammonia Refrigeration.
