Minimum Requirement:
Grade 12 / Matric
Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role
Relevant tertiary qualification will be advantageous
Previous experience as a Logistics Administrator or in a similar logistics/supply chain role will be advantageous
SAP experience advantageous
Experience in a similar industry is beneficial
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Basic accounting knowledge
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Duties and Responsibilities:
Collect order requests during weekly stock reviews.
Liaise with suppliers to negotiate pricing, product availability, and delivery timelines.
Prepare and submit purchase orders for approval.
Log all orders for payment processing and forward SWIFT confirmations to suppliers.
Request and manage clearing documentation from suppliers.
Plan and coordinate shipments in accordance with Incoterms.
Track orders and shipments to ensure timely delivery.
Prepare shipping documentation, including invoices, purchase orders, and bills of lading.
Coordinate with forwarding and clearing agents to optimize delivery efficiency.
Maintain and update indent reports on a daily basis.
Maintain landed cost schedules and accurately allocate landed costs for all shipments
Provide general administrative support to the Logistics Department.
Ensure customs VAT invoices are correctly processed and reconciled with supplier statements.
Capture all Accounts Payable invoices relating to foreign orders.
Perform any additional related duties as required and for which appropriate training has been provided.
