About the Role
We are looking for a Scooter Driver in Randburg to transport car parts, tools, and accessories swiftly and safely from the store or warehouse to clients, while maintaining the delivery scooter and handling basic stock tasks.
Minimum Requirements
- Valid South African Code 2 / A driver's licence
- Previous experience as a scooter or motorcycle delivery driver (automotive parts background is a strong advantage).
- Familiarity with local roads, traffic rules, and major automotive hubs in your region.
- Ability to lift and carry moderately heavy car parts or boxes.
- Punctual, honest, reliable, and comfortable working in fast-paced or heavy traffic conditions.
Key Responsibilities
- Pick up and drop off car parts, returns, and supplier cores on time and in good condition.
- Use local road knowledge and GPS tools to choose the fastest and safest delivery routes.
- Act as a polite and professional company representative when handing over parts or taking cash/card payments on delivery.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip checks on the scooter (tires, oil, lights, brakes) and report mechanical issues immediately.
- Help pick, pack, and stage parts in the store or assist with receiving incoming stock when not out on the road.
- Keep accurate delivery logs, signed delivery notes, and strictly obey all South African traffic laws.
