Key responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee daily business operations to ensure efficiency, productivity, quality and service delivery.
- Develop and implement operational strategies, KPIs and corrective actions.
- Manage budgets, expenses, margins, profitability and financial reporting.
- Drive sales, business development, customer relationships and market expansion.
- Oversee production planning and execution, including workflow, stock, waste, quality and turnaround times.
- Drive continuous improvement and operational efficiencies.
- Manage supervisors and operational teams, including performance, IR, training and succession planning.
- Ensure effective maintenance and management of assets and equipment.
- Maintain health, safety, quality, compliance and risk-management standards.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and improve overall business performance.
Requirements:
- Degree/diploma in Business, Operations, Manufacturing, Engineering or a related field.
- 8–10 years’ management experience, with at least 5 years at senior management level.
- Experience managing large operational teams.
- Strong financial and commercial acumen.
- Proven experience with budgets, profitability and operational KPIs.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, negotiation and communication skills.
- Experience in glass manufacturing, glass processing, glazing, aluminium, construction materials or a related industry will be highly advantageous.
- Proven ability to manage production/operations in a manufacturing environment.
