Production Manager – Glass Processing

We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to take responsibility for the planning, coordination and control of production activities, ensuring that operations are efficient, safe, cost-effective and consistently meet quality and delivery requirements. The successful candidate will have strong manufacturing and production management experience, with direct exposure to glass processing highly advantageous.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, manage and coordinate daily production activities.
  • Ensure production targets, quality standards and deadlines are achieved.
  • Manage production teams, shifts, manpower and performance.
  • Oversee glass processing, workflow, productivity and resource utilisation.
  • Monitor quality, breakages, waste and production downtime.
  • Coordinate maintenance and minimise equipment downtime.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety requirements.
  • Monitor production KPIs and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Work closely with Sales, Dispatch and Logistics to ensure orders are completed on time.

Requirements

  • Diploma/Degree in Production Management, Engineering, Operations or related field.
  • 5–8 years’ manufacturing/production experience.
  • Minimum 3 years’ management or supervisory experience.
  • Strong production planning, team management and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with glass processing/manufacturing is highly advantageous.
  • Exposure to glass cutting, edging, tempering, laminating, IGUs or CNC processing will be advantageous.
  • Lean/Six Sigma knowledge would be an advantage.
