Shift Supervisor – Printing Industry

An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Shift Supervisor to join a fast-paced printing and manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading shift operations, managing production teams and ensuring that quality, output and production targets are consistently achieved.Candidates must have proven supervisory experience within the Printing Industry.

Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12
  • Relevant Production Qualification
  • 5+ years’ supervisory/management experience within the Printing Industry
  • Strong experience in a large-scale printing/manufacturing environment
  • Experience managing production teams, materials and consumables
  • Strong understanding of production planning, quality, OEE and machine uptime
  • Computer literate and comfortable working with production figures
  • Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills
  • Printing Industry experience is essential

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and manage production teams during the shift.
  • Ensure production targets, quality standards and schedules are achieved.
  • Monitor machine performance, downtime and OEE.
  • Manage materials, consumables and WIP.
  • Ensure machinery maintenance and breakdowns are followed up.
  • Maintain discipline, attendance and correct utilisation of staff.
  • Ensure health & safety and quality procedures are followed.
  • Complete shift handovers and communicate production priorities.

PLEASE NOTE: This position is strictly for candidates currently working in or with previous experience in the Printing Industry. Candidates from general manufacturing or other industries will not be considered.
