The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day site operations, coordinating employees, maintaining strong client relationships, ensuring staffing requirements are met, and supporting HR, IR, payroll, health and safety, and operational processes.
Key Responsibilities
Site Operations & Supervisor
- Assist with the coordination and supervision of employees on site.
- Ensure employee shifts are consistently filled and client headcount requirements are maintained.
- Monitor employee attendance, absenteeism, performance, and conduct.
- Coordinate replacement employees when required.
- Conduct regular employee check-ins and maintain effective communication with employees.
- Focus on productivity and operational efficiency on site.
- Build and maintain a pool of suitable candidates to meet client staffing requirements.
- Identify additional staffing requirements and communicate these to the relevant stakeholders
Client Relationship Management
- Maintain strong operational relationships with client representatives.
- Conduct regular client visits and understand client workforce requirements.
- Maintain high levels of client satisfaction.
- Respond promptly and professionally to staffing-related queries.
- Provide regular recruitment and staffing updates to clients.
- Resolve operational issues quickly and professionally.
- Escalate client concerns to the Branch Manager where required.
Health, Safety & Compliance
- Conduct basic site inductions and safety briefings.
- Assess and manage occupational health and safety hazards.
- Ensure appropriate site rules and procedures are implemented and maintained.
- Ensure employees are issued with the correct PPE.
- Ensure PPE distribution is properly recorded.
- Promote compliance with relevant health, safety, and legal requirements.
- Maintain an understanding of legal responsibilities relating to site operations and employee management.
HR, IR & Employee Relations
- Apply a sound understanding of labour-related HR and Industrial Relations (IR) processes.
- Address employee queries and operational concerns.
- Mediate and assist in resolving workplace issues.
- Assist with disciplinary processes and escalate HR/IR matters where required.
- Monitor employee conduct and performance.
- Assist with employee retention initiatives.
- Maintain accurate employee records.
Payroll & Administration
- Ensure timesheets are completed accurately and submitted on time.
- Work closely with payroll data and ensure employee hours are accurately captured.
- Maintain accurate staffing and employee records.
- Provide accurate operational and staffing information as required.
Minimum Requirements
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar Site Supervisor role within the Temporary Employment Services (TES), Logistics, or Warehousing industry.
- Proven experience in staff supervision and site operations.
- Sound knowledge of HR and IR processes.
- Proficiency in MS Excel.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lead and manage a team effectively.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple operational requirements.
- Strong client relationship management skills.
- Valid Driver’s Licence.
