Tracking Clerk

Minimum Requirements

• Previous cross-border logistics experience is essential.
• Basic knowledge and understanding of international logistics processes.
• Previous experience in a tracking, logistics, transport or administration role will be advantageous.
• Strong computer literacy, particularly Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to communicate professionally with suppliers and service providers.
• Strong follow-up and organisational skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Must be reliable, proactive, and able to work independently.

Key Responsibilities

• Track and monitor local and cross-border shipments from dispatch to final delivery.
• Liaise with suppliers, transporters, customers, and other relevant stakeholders regarding shipment progress.
• Obtain and communicate shipment updates and estimated delivery times.
• Monitor shipment statuses and promptly identify and escalate delays or discrepancies.
• Capture and maintain accurate tracking information on internal systems and spreadsheets.
• Assist with basic international logistics administration and documentation.
• Follow up with suppliers and logistics providers regarding outstanding information.
• Ensure all relevant shipment documentation is received, recorded, and filed correctly.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, collections and shipment movements.
• Provide regular updates to internal teams regarding shipment status.
• Escalate any potential delays, issues, or exceptions to the relevant department.
• Assist with general logistics administration as required.
